If you’re currently receiving a pension from the DB Section, it will increase in April.
Under the Rules of the Fund, your pension increases each year in line with inflation, up to 5% a year for pensionable service before 1 April 2010. When working out your increase, we measure inflation based on the UK Consumer Prices Index (CPI) over the 12 months to December, which was 3.4%.
As a result, your pension increase this year will be 3.4%. If you’ve been receiving your pension for less than a year, it will receive part of this annual increase in line with how long it’s been payable.
Look out for your pension increase letter from WTW for more details.
